'I was just thinking the same thing' Drippy giggled, splashing water towards him slightly before swimming a little closer to him before starting to tread water, squealing slightly when a fish darted past and brushed against her, taking her off guard.

At her squeal Kenny looked around frantically. "What! What?" He asked. So much for Gryffindors supposed to be brave- Kenny certainly wasn't.

'A fish brushed against me' Drippy told him before bursting into a fit of giggles, unable to help herself. His reaction had been funny and so had her own, which had ultimately brought on her giggles.

"Phew." Kenny sighed. He didn't mind her laughing at him all that much. His reaction had been laughable. "Regular cowardly lion, I am."

'I would have been startled too. Besides, sometimes it's smartest to be cautious' Drippy told him, feeling that she knew all too well about that but not voicing that feeling out loud.

Kenny was glad he hadn't made that big a fool of himself. "True. I mean you've got to pick and choose. Bravery and stupidity are a thin line."

'Exactly' Drippy nodded, feeling as though that was probably why Slytherin was a good place to be. They did things that could be considered brave, but they weren't stupid enough to put other people before themselves.

Kenny moved around in the water a little making sure that he waded some so he didn't cramp up stuck in one spot for too long. That would be embarrassing. "Kind of wish someone had invited me for a swim before now. It's actually nice."

'I would had if I'd known' Drippy told him, laying on her back and simply floating, closing her eyes as she did so. She loved swimming in the lake, even though there were rumoured to be lots of things floating about in there that weren't very nice.

Kenny couldn't help but notice that Drippy's shirt was see through now that it was wet and he quickly averted his eyes respectfully. "Not your fault. Glad you did though. Thanks."

'No problem at all' Drippy smiled, completely oblivious to the fact her shirt had gone see through. Pale colours and water were not the best mix, but it didn't really matter, since it wasn't like she didn't have a bra on underneath!

"Right, well still appreciated." Normally Kenny didn't babbler on like he was but his mind was just the slightest bit muddled.

'Yeah, okay then' Drippy laughed, ending her little floating session in order to start treading water again.

Seeing movement from the corner of his eye Kenny looked to see what it was. With Drippy resubmerged he turned back to face her. "I remember learning to swim. My dad decided to toss me in the pool one day and make me fight for it. Scary as all get out but it worked. Guess it was one of those survival instinct things people talk of."

'That's cruel' Drippy responded simply, shaking her head slightly. Sure, it might have worked but that didn't make it any less cruel. She had actually taught herself how to swim after her father had threatened to drown her one time. No less cruel, but she wasn't telling him about the experience, either.
