Kenny joined in on Drippy's laughter. He understood what she was giggling about. "Semantics." He flourished his hand in the air dismissively letting his own hearty chuckle simmer down. Kenny couldn't help but notice that Drippy had a rather nice smile. It made her face light up, which Kenny found extremely pleasant. He preferred to see people happy in his presence.

'Why are you down here?' Drippy asked after a few moments of silence, having let a soft sigh escape from between her lips after she'd finished laughing. She wasn't so much being nosy as curious. She was curious about Kenny now, wondering what it was that had brought him down to the Black Lake today of all days. After all, he had told her that he'd seen her down here a few times before. Was she was drew him to the waters edge, or was there something interesting that Drippy was still currently missing?

During the silence that followed Kenny looked out over the water. Small fishes must have been nipping at something because the tiniest of ripples formed occasionally in a scattered pattern. It was a relaxing thing to do but the position he had been in was quick becoming uncomfortable so Kenny sat down fully, unable to remain crouched any longer. "I've been in the library most of the day, wanted to get out, stretch my legs a bit. When I saw you down here all by yourself I thought you might want some company. Couldn't resist, I guess."

'Oh, okay. Company is always welcomed, right? Or mostly always, anyway. Regardless, I'm glad you joined me' Drippy grinned, finally tucking her wand away before slipping her shoes off and letting her toes skim the waters surface. She wasn't looking to go swimming, not today, but since she had company and felt it would be rude to continue to draw the fish to the surface, Drippy instead decided to drop her feet into the water somewhat as she continued to speak with Kenny.

He was beaming at this information. Kenny always did hate bothering someone who didn't desire or require it. Especially since he knew personally how annoying that could be. When he got into th zone and was doing his school work it was such a nuisance to have someone come over and interrupt that. Kenny leaned back so that his arms supported his weight. "Well I'm glad you're glad."

'Me too' Drippy smiled, amused by his response. She twisted around enough to watch him place his arms strategically out behind him, propping himself up before Drippy returned her attention back out over the lake, watching the surface ripple and move. She watched on happily as a few fish jumped up to the waters surface by themselves, something that was always a short lived treat, but a treat none-the-less.

Although Kenny didn't have many destructive tendencies he did absently toy with the grass beneath his hands. Wrapping a single blade around his forefinger dozens of times within thirty seconds time before finally the flimsy grass blade would pluck out of the ground. This was something that Kenny did compulsively while sitting there. "I wonder what its like down there." He mused nodding to the lake. "I saw a program on television once about underwater exploration but that was for an ocean. I don't think the Black Lake would have coral reef and clown fish." The main difference that Kenny could obviously point out was that this body of water was dark, whereas the ocean, at least on the program he'd seen, was a light, clear blue. "I bet it is sill pretty cool."

If Drippy hadn't taken muggle studies class for a few years, she wouldn't have had the faintest clue what a television was. However, she had and so she had an idea what it was that Kenny was talking about, something that pleased her. She didn't want to come off as stupid or uninformed, even it if was about muggle things and she really had no reason to have to know about them.
'Yeah, I don't think it would either. Besides, it has other creatures down there, magical creatures, that would probably make it hard for the...What were they? Clown fish? To live and breed successfully' Drippy commented lightly, not at all trying to sound authoritative on the matter, but just voicing her thoughts out loud.

Kenny didn't know about all that. Animals were pretty good at adapting, that whole survive of the fittest, Darwinism thing going for them. Still, Drippy was probably right. The predators that lurked in the murky water of the Black Lake would be far too formidable for them to thrive. They would be wiped out of the environment quicker than they could learn to survive in it. "Besides," Kenny laughed. "They're salt water fish and the Black Lake is fresh water." That right there would have the Clown fish nixed.

'That is a good point' Drippy laughed, having completely overlooked it in all honesty. She smiled at Kenny before kicking a little bit of water up in his direction, not sure whether it would get him or not but not really seeing any harm in doing such a thing, either. It was only water and it would dry and if he really had a problem with it he was a wizard with a wand and he had to be able to cast a spell to dry things off by now, or she surely hoped that he was capable of it, anyway.

"It's a calculated risk with me really," Kenny laughed as a bit of water sprinkled his cheek compliments of Drippy. He swiped his thumb over the moisture not at all bothered by the playful action. "I either make a really good point or sound like a complete nutter."

'I think everyone has those moments. You've made good points so far though!' Drippy told him with an encouraging grin, meaning what she was saying. She'd not really had anything to object to when it came to what he'd said so far and she was taking that as nothing more than a good sign, because that's what it was, in her eyes.

"Thank you, thank you." Kenny bowed mockingly left then right, an even funnier sight considering her was seated, using one of those typical Academy Award winning acceptance tones.

As he bowed, Drippy simply giggled in an almost hysterical manner, having not expected him to do that in the least and finding it more than a little amusing that he'd chosen that reaction out of all the ones he could have picked. As she laughed, she flicked more water up over him, unable to help herself.

Twice now Kenny had been splashed with water. It was refreshing but he couldn't let Drippy get away with it this time. "Oh you want to play that game huh?" Kenny questioned leaning forward to dip his fingers in the water then flicked some water on her, laughing.
