Peeves; the name suited him. There Elle had been, perfectly innocent in her actions, heading back to the Common Room to put her stuff away after the last class of the day when along came a certain pesky poltergeist with a water balloon. A splash and a scream later Peeves busted out laughing before barreling out of sight through a wall. "Darnit! Peeves you..." Elle trailed off, opting to just growl her frustration, before something came out of her mouth that would have her dear sweet Grams rolling over in her grave.

"It's pronounced ˈpōltərˌgīst" George put in helpfully as he headed down to the dungeons, ready for a detention with Snape. "Tough word, but it's good."

Elle looked over to see one of the Weasley twins, she wasn't sure which, speaking to her. "That's very helpful thank you. But I was going for something a little more harsh." With his reputation for pranking she didn't imagine he would have the same sentiments about what just happened to her as she did.

"He doesn't much like being called a ghost, and that's also easier to pronounce." George offered. "But why so upset?"

She wasn't sure if he was making fun of her or just being funny. Looking down at herself knowing that it was obvious as water dripped on the ground they stood on Elle raised a brow. "I'm all wet. I probably look like a drowned rat and the ink on my school work is probably bled together now." Elle explained anyway moving a hand into her robes pocket to confirm that her parchment was soaked as well, it was.

"I thought you just looked like this all the time," George shrugged, grinning, "Ah well, I'd say it's an improvement, then. You fit right in with the rest of the population."

Elle smiled, although it was a bit uncertainly. "You know I actually don't but I think it might be the next big thing... might stick with it." There was no point in getting upset, not over the way she looked, though she still wasn't pleased about her ruined school work.

"And then, as a trendsetter, you won't need to worry about your ruined education, you fashion icon you" George nodded, "Must be tough, being so pretty and all."

Elle's cheeks lit up at the compliment, even if he was only teasing. "I don't like to complain really. It may be a thankless job but somebody has to do it." She played along.

"That's how I feel, since I'm so charming, debonair, and all around amazing" George nodded, "Oh, and modest."

"Pretty amazing combination you've got going for you." Elle praised.

"Almost seems unfair to everyone else, doesn't it?" George nodded, solemnly.

"Darn tootin'." Elle agreed nodding her confirmation.

George nodded, then continued down the steps, "I'm George," He introduced, "Have we met before?"

George, there was no telling whether or not Elle would be able to figure out which one he was next time they met but she still would try. "I'm Eleanor- well Elle but anyway, no, not officially. I've seen you around of course. You and Fred are kind of infamous." Elle followed suit. "You don't happen to know the drying spell. It's escaped me."
