Maia nodded. Of course, it was Parkinson. "Oh, I believe you completely," she said, pulling her cloak and robes tighter around herself. "I wouldn't touch her if she paid me either."

"So you don't remember any names, hm?" Blaise asked, curious now - because if she remembered his, he would have to use another. Since Draco didn't seem to be mentioned, he might just steal his.

"Not at the top of my head, no," Maia answered, searching through her mind for some sort of name she might have picked up. "Apart from Draco Malfoy, of course - or rather, 'Dracey' - who is almost always the topic of conversation when she's not gossiping about everybody else." Suddenly, something like a light seemed to go off in her head.
"Oh, but there is one name," she began again. "Began with a Z. I remember asking if it was Italian, but Parkinson... well, she didn't know. Doesn't know anything, really. Ziboni? Something like that."

"Zabini," Blaise supplied, holding out his hand, "And it is." After all, enough was enough. He would convince her otherwise if she believed Parkinson anyway.

Maia gave into a smile now. She removed her hand from her robes pocket and shook his hand. "Pleased to actually meet you, Zabini," she told him. She was about to mention that she thought his name had been linked to the "can't keep it in his pants" comment, but she kept her mouth tightly shut. Maia had tact, and she wouldn't pull a Parkinson.

Blaise kissed the back of her hand, smirking, "Parkinson only things I can't keep it in my pants because I wouldn't touch her's last Christmas break" He assured, since he had assumed that she knew which of those comments belongs with him.

"And like I said, I don't blame you," Maia responded, "But anyway, I've overheard Parkinson, countless times, telling stories about me. I know how twisted and exaggerated the things she says are." A small laugh escaped her throat. "If it helps any, I'll be sure to mention tonight that I met 'beautiful, exotic, can't keep it in his pants' and he did actually manage to keep it in his pants, with no trouble at all. Should surprise some of the other girls, who thanks to Pansy, were very convinced otherwise. It'll hopefully set the rumour straight though."

"I'm not worried about rumours" Blaise shrugged, "I don't listen to them, nor do I care about them. I think that drives her the most. However I can't promise to keep it in my pants when someone as beautiful as you is walking around."

Oh, he really was as gorgeous as Pansy let on - and he knew it too - but Maia's self control was quite excellent. Besides, she was getting the feeling he said this sort of rubbish everyday to any girl who was even remotely attractive. She laughed now, finding the flattery rather hilarious. "Darling, I'm not sure you have a choice, with me," she told him, "and besides, we wouldn't want to be proving Pansy's pathetic little rumours true, would we?"

"Her rumors, as stated, are irrelevant." Blaise informed, "Your preferences do matter, though." He added after a moment, though he couldn't understand just why she would hesitate.

Maia shrugged. She didn't think the rumours would help his luck with women in the future, but perhaps he didn't need it. Or maybe most women, nowadays, liked that sort of thing - Maia didn't really know anymore. Girls were strange. "Exactly," she said, before glancing both ways down the Hogsmeade street. It would be time to head off soon, she knew. "Might I ask where you were heading before you were... distracted?"

"I wasn't heading anywhere," Blaise admitted, "Just strolling around. Where were you headed?"

Maia looked off both ways down the Hogsmeade street. "Now that I'm done with the Hog's Head, I'm not so sure," she answered. "Back to the castle I suppose. Besides it's getting late." Her eyes flickered down to his Prefect badge.
"Would hate to be out past curfew and piss off some Prefects," she played, rather sarcastically.

"Some prefects have the ability to stay out after curfew - and know how to cover their tracks" Blaise responded, though offered his arm, "But if you would rather head back..."

"Well, Mr. Prefect," Maia drawled, before slipping her arm through his, "if you can think of some sort of... mischief we can get up to at this time, I would very willingly stay out here all night." She joked, before laughing a soft kind of laugh. "But if not, then I think I'll head to bed early, and not be a pain in anyone's ass for once."
