"I'll tell them that" Chris smirked, imagining her dormmate's reactions. There was bound to be a lot of squealing. She stopped suddenly, hearing a faint meowing sound. "Is that Mrs.Norris??"

Graham nodded simply. He did have an appreciation for girls of all types, after all. Tweaking his attention to the direction of the sound came from Graham shrugged. "Possibly." It could have just as easily been another students cat. He wasn't all that familiar with Mrs. Norris to be able to tell.

Chris backed up a couple of paces, accidentally brushing her arm against his. She flinched at the surprise contact and backed up even further. "Sorry" She muttered, eyes scanning the corridor for Filtch's horrible cat. Chris loved all animals with two exceptions. Cockroaches and Mrs.Norris. "Damn it" She spoke softly "I really can't get a detention. Not another one"

The girl bumping into him didn't perturb Graham in the least. She was clearly fretting over the sound of the cat, which if it was Mrs. Norris, Filch was soon to follow. Once she said that she couldn't get a detention Graham, since she was already pretty much on top of him, grabbed her hand. "Then lets not stick around to find out if it is Mrs. Norris." He suggested taking a few steps but waiting to see if she would follow.

Chris was taken off guard when he grabbed her hand, but hesitated only a second before following after him, curious as to where he would lead her. She didn't know her way around the lower part of the castle all that well. Being a Ravenclaw she was more familiar with the towers and higher floors.

It was simple really, Christianne had wanted to go to the kitchens so that was where Graham was taking her. Once inside Filch wouldn't think to check there and wouldn't have reason to unless he was craving something to eat.

Chris looked around her, realizing that they were headed to her original destination, just by a slightly different route. "I didn't think you could go this way" She remarked. She was still a little nervous about meeting Filtch, but shrugged it off. She couldn't see or hear any sign of Mrs.Norris.

"The corridors are all interlinking." Graham explained letting go of her hand now that he knew she would be cooperative. As she should have been considering it was Christianne that was worried about getting a detention and not him.

Chris nodded "I should have realized" As soon as he released her hand she moved forward again, eager to get to the kitchens. 'I hope we don't disturb the elves" she murmured, tensing when she realized what she had said. Most pure blooded young witches couldn't care less about how house elves felt. She consoled herself with the thought that perhaps he hadn't heard her, and if he had, that he probably wouldn't mention the weird girl who cared about house elves to anyone else. She could be in a lot of trouble if he did and it got back to her parents. Christianne's position with them was precarious enough as it was.

She probably should have realized that all the corridors were interlinking but if she hadn't done much wandering in her years, especially down in the lower levels he supposed there was no way that Christianne could have known. Graham shrugged at her comment. "They weren't even there when I went in." It was rumored that they did the cleaning at night but Graham imagined that they had to sleep sometime too. His family House Elf did. He wasn't at all concerned about her sympathizing.

Chris nodded, glad that it was all he said on the matter. They reached a familiar staircase and Chris made her way down cautiously, jumping as a suit of armour moved as she passed. "Sometimes I wonder why I do this" She muttered, more to herself than to him. They were getting lower and so it was getting colder. Shivering slightly Chris cast a quick warming charm on herself.

Christianne was awfully jumpy, Graham observed. Maybe it was just being in the dungeons at this time of night. They weren't the most pleasant of places after all. "Wonder why you do what? Wander about in the dead of the night?"

Chris nodded absently. "Yes, something usually happens. Like seriously underestimating how cold its going to be" The warming charm had improved things slightly but her skin was still covered in goosebumps.

A semismile came onto his lips. He never really noticed how cold it was in the dungeons but he was the type of guy that was always running on hot anyway. "I've fond most things that happen in the dead of the night around here, at least for me, are relatively good. Chance meetings with a pretty girl for example." He was flirtatious by nature, not to do any intention harm with a lady's heart.

Chris's lips twitched in amusement. "I suppose...but theres always the danger you might run into a gentleman with too much charm for anyones good" She replied jokingly. "I don't suppose you feel the cold as much, do you? What with living under the lake and all." She paused for a second under a torch, attempting to absorb some heat.
