Angelina had had a particular stressful day and wanted to get away for a while. She had considered sneaking into the forbidden corridor but decided that Filch had been roaming about more than usual, so instead she made her way to one of the out-of-the-way corridors on the fourth floor. Students were always using these particular corridors to spend time alone, or with a significant other, so Angelina wasn't too surprised when she passed a few other distressed-looking students. Finally finding an empty hallway she hopped up to sit in a windowsill, pulling her knees up to her chest and leaning her head against the cool window.

Fred (and in subsequence, George) knew the castle better than anyone he knew, bar only the Marauders from whose map he had learnt some of the extra tidbits that very few other people knew about. So of course, he was well aware of where people went and for what reason. Many people escaped to the quiet fourth floor for a bit of calm, alone time.
Well, calm wasn't something that Fred could just let sit like that. Especially not when disruption was so willingly handed to him, so easily achievable. He was therefore creeping as cheerfully as one can creep down the corridor when he spotted Angelina.
"Angie poo!" he hollered brightly, appearing by her feet.

Having closed her eyes and succumbed to a dull state of relaxation, Angelina was quite startled when Fred appeared from out of nowhere and practically shouted at her. In fact, she was so startled that she almost fell from her perch on the windowsill. “Oh shove off, you.” she replied while shoving at his face. Normally she’d enjoyed the company of one of the twins (or both of them, on occasion) but the day had not been her best and she really just wanted some peace and quiet—but she knew she wasn’t going to get it now. Swinging her feet over the ledge, she repositioned herself in a more welcoming manner and leaned back against the glass. “What brings you to the fourth floor?”

Fred felt a frown flicker very briefly across his face, but it was gone in a nanosecond. "Oh, charming!" he scoffed, raising his eyebrows at her. With a shameless grin, he lifted himself up to sit beside her, in the space where her feet had been, and shoved vaguely at her face, much as she had done to him.
"Well, you know me," he shrugged, with no intentional at all of 'shoving off'. "I love a bit of peace and quiet."

She shifted over to give him a bit more room to sit and pushed his hand away as he shoved back at her. She sighed as he started speaking but couldn't help but snort as he finished. "Oh, yeah, that sounds like you all right." Tilting her head to the side to better look at him, she thought for a moment before adding, "You're up here causing trouble, I know."

"Well... yes," Fred nodded quite matter-of-factly, like he had been about to add that anyway if she hadn't spoken first. "I love a bit of peace and quiet because it's where people need entertainment most - they just don't know it yet. Not trouble, Johnson." He paused. "Not today, anyway." Another pause. "Erm.... not right now, anyway."

Giving a light sigh, she shook her head softly and tapped her heels against the stone wall. As he finished talking, she smiled softly and managed a light chuckle. "So what, you came up here to juggle or something? Make some balloon animals for the kiddies?" she teased, elbowing him lightly in the side.

Fred shrugged, "Figured I'd wing it," he admitted, then pulled a little round ball from his pocket. "Kind of wanted to test this out - when you bounce it, it lets out little fireworks. But maybe I won't if you'll just shout at me." He nudged her gently with his shoulder, "What's gotten your knickers in a twist, Angie?"

She took another deep breath and lolled her head to the side as he showed her the ball. Raising an eyebrow, she reached out for it and gave a soft hmm. She had to admit the twins were clever and they always came up with the most brilliant ideas- and that wasn't sarcastic at all. As he inquired as to her situation, she shrugged. "Oh it's just one of those days, y'know..."

"Or at least it was until you saw my handsome face, right?" Fred finished knowingly for her, raising an eyebrow as he watched her inspect the ball. "Be careful with that - very careful. It's a bit sensitive. Can't think of a name for it, though."

She laughed a bit and raised her eyebrows. "Oh, yeah, of course. That's exactly what I was going to say." Angelina looked the ball over for a moment, rolling it gently around in her hand, before handing it back to Fred. "You will, you always do." she replied quietly with a smile.

"Oh brilliant, thanks for all those useful suggestions," Fred quipped drily, popping the ball back into his pocket. "But your faith means so much to me. Remember that time you said that I was a good beater? That made my whole year, that did."

She chuckled softly before fading into a sigh. Tilting her head around to really look at him, she couldn't help but smile; a real, genuine smile. The feel of the moment held for a while until she couldn't bear the seriousness of it. It was weird seeing him serious. "Wow...well, you must've had a crap year then, hm?" she tried to tease, letting her gaze fall back to the floor.

Fred raised an eyebrow at Angelina, smirking broadly, "You are aware that I was joking, aren't you?" he pointed out slowly, kindly trying not to laugh at her.

She couldn't contain herself any longer and burst out in a fit of laughter. "Fred, honestly, I think I've known you long enough for that." she managed, reaching over and popping him on the leg. Calming back into a smile, she shook her head a bit at nothing in particular. "Where were you earlier today when everything was going to crap?"
