"Alright. I'll let you do the talking." This was Draco's brain child after all so it only seemed right.

"In the meantime," Draco said slowly, since he had Graham's attention, "I saw you with Astoria at supper the other day," He informed, "What's that about?"

"Eating." Graham answer half-heartedly. That wouldn't be enough to satisfy Draco though, he knew that. Astoria, as she had pointed out to him already was more like a sister to Draco than anything else so there would be some concern as to Graham's intentions. "She's a sweet girl and I like spending time with her." He added a few moments later.

"In what capacity" Draco asked immediately, having the feeling that would be his answer. No one was going to hurt Astoria whilst he was around.

"A friend for now." Graham tapped his headboard trying to collect his thoughts. "I don't really want to rush into anything with her without being sure, but you should probably know that Astoria agreed to allow me to put me in the running for her betrothal." Draco would find out soon enough so he might as well hear it from him.

"Otherwise she'd have ended up with Flint or I - not really a tough choice" Draco pointed out, though quietly. "You must know she's got a raging crush on you" He added, more to Graham, "So what, you think you can just be friends with her? She's not going to understand that."

A raging crush? Graham had suspected a tiny crush sure, that tended to happen with him being who he was, but he didn't know Astoria was that hooked on him. "I want to get to know her a bit better before I make any rash decisions." He explained. "That's the right thing to do isn't it? Figure out what I really want before making anything official."

"That depends how many times you intend to hang around with only her until you decide" Draco muttered, "You're leading her on." He didn't know this for sure, but he knew Astoria, and he knew how she got about things like this.

Leading Astoria on wasn't his intention nor was it something that he wanted to do. "What would you suggest I do then?" Draco might not have been all that knowledgeable about this sort of thing but he did know Astoria.

Were all girls so terribly annoying? Marcus shook his head and let out a light growl as he strode back toward the Slytherin common room. If he had to hear another female babble on about something which he could care less about, he was going to hex her. At least if he managed to get to the boys' dorms there would be some solace. Even if the guys had something to say, it was probably more important or interesting...like Quidditch or curses. Flint didn't even mind the random crude joke here and there as long as it was a good one.

When Flint walked in, Draco was distracted from his conversation with Graham, and took another swig of his firewhiskey before holding it up to the quidditch captain. "How's it going, Flint?"

Graham was having the same sentiments as Draco, their previous conversation was better left for later anyway. "Marcus." He nodded his own greeting.

Hearing his name as he walked through the threshold to the common room, Marcus turned his head to look at one Draco Malfoy. The only other occupant of the room, Graham Pritchard, also addressed him before Flint had said even one thing. Now here were two blokes that he could, in some way or another, relate to. "Pritchard," he greeted with a nod in return, "Not much Malfoy. You?"

"Just thinking about how... dull it is around here" Draco answered, remaining impassive.

"However..." Graham drawled nonchalantly. "Draco did have an idea to fix that." He didn't mention anything more preferring that Marcus be the one to ask, although demanding was more in the boy's nature, what this supposed idea was.
