George had missed dinner for detention, and so was very very hungry by the time he was done with Filch. It was just before curfew when he got into the kitchens, looking for something to tickle his teeth. When the house elves brought him some of the mash that was at dinner, as well as a piece of beef wellington, George was anything but complaining, shovelling the food into his mouth.

Ah, food. A true gift from the Gods, or that was Bailey's thoughts on the matter, anyway. She enjoyed it more than most, or so she assumed, and that was why it was hardly any surprise to find her making her way down to the dungeons and into the kitchens, having missed dinner because she'd been too busy doing a last minute piece of homework for the next morning.
'That looks good' She commented after spotting one of the Weasley twin's digging into what looked like the remnants of tonight's dinner.

George nodded, mouth full of food. He chewed and swallowed before answering with a simple but cheerful "Yup"

'I often wonder how long it all lasts for' Bailey shared with a smile as she fetched her own serving with a few added extras, not so much looking for him to respond but rather just voicing her thoughts.

"House Elves can make anything pretty quickly, I don't think it's lasted so much as made again," George explained.

'Yeah, but don't you ever wonder how long it all lasts for regardless and where all the leftover stuff goes?' Bailey asked, pleased that he'd responded despite the fact that she hadn't epected him to.

"I figure the elves eat it." George said after a moment, "And Filch. He eats loads."

'Hmm, good point. Explains why Filch is so slow, too, being weighed down so much' Bailey grinned before taking a mouthful of the food before her and eating it.

"He has to keep his figure somehow, so he eats." George agreed, nodding solemnly.

'Poor old guy. If only everyone was as understanding as you are' Bailey commented with a gentle sigh.

"Of course, that's why he loves me so much." George nodded before continuing to eat.

'Such an honest argument that' Bailey laughed, finding it more than a little impossible to believe.

"We're best friends, we paint each other's toenails." George continued, finishing his food.

'Now that's just ridiculous' Bailey laughed, unable to help herself now. The idea of anyone painting Filtch's toenails was absurd but with one of the Weasley twins it was even more so than normal.

"You're right, we stick to finger nails." George corrected.
