The tea arrived just as his lips touched her hand, and Astoria blushed at the moment being witnessed by the jolly old woman. But then, she probably would have blushed anyway.

Holding Astoria's gaze, and hand, for a moment longer Graham smiled at her. "Thank you." He offered Madam Puddifoot doing her the courtesy of looking up at her, something he figured, in a setting such as this, was rare. Kids too caught up in each other to give her the time of day.

Astoria looked up just in time to see the older woman give her a knowing smile - which only made her blush more. As the woman walked away, Astoria squeezed Graham's hand lightly before pulling hers away, to cradle her mug, lifting it to her lips and blowing on it as a distraction from her cheeks - which she was sure were about to go up in flames.

Graham loved to see Astoria blush, she looked angelic actually. Taking a moment to appreciate it, to appreciate her Graham carefully tasted his own tea. "So, what did you think?" He asked nodding toward the book.

Books. Books she could do. "It was a very interesting read. Not something I would choose personally, but I liked it. The views of death are striking. The narrator says the same thing after each death, which unnerves and comforts at the same time - reiterates that there is sadness in death, but death is also an equalizer." She said quietly, setting her mug down again and putting the book beside it, opening it slightly so as to not crack the spine, "The other striking thing, for me, was the discussion of free will - or lack thereof - because time isn't linear. I... I mean, of course I've thought about free will, but never in terms of determinism - I've always just let the argument sit for a later time."

Astoria actually took something away from reading, Graham learned. She sought out the meaning, the possible themes that a novel may hold, which was rare. He found himself smiling in admiration. "Very astute." Graham complimented, took another sip of his tea, then sat his mug down too. "It spoke of inevitability in both cases but what was more important, I found, was how one choose to view death and free will." It was kind of like Graham had mention about free will when they had last talked. It was pre-determined and they followed along with it.

"It's almost like you chose it to make a point" Astoria mused, a thought that had occurred to her even when reading.

Graham chuckled. "You give me too much credit, I'm not that clever." Although subconsciously maybe he had, couldn't all be coincidence, could it?

"For some reason, I don't believe that" Astoria smiled, then took another sip of her tea.

Graham simply smiled at her. Maybe Astoria was right but Graham wasn't the type to be overly arrogant, things just fell into place sometimes.

"So? I guess it's a pass, then, if we both like it." Astoria mused, running her fingertips over the cover.

"Bugs trapped in amber," Graham exerted from the book. "We just have to deal with what we are faced with. I'm glad you didn't find what you were faced with too horrible though." He winked at her, picked his mug back up and took another drink.

A wink, really? A wink was making her blush, now? She smiled bashfully down at the table, tucking her hair behind her ear. "How could anything I'd be faced with be terrible if it had to do with you?"

Graham froze for a moment letting that sink in. This was what Draco had warned him about and so far Graham hadn't found any reason for that to be a bad thing, considering he liked Astoria. He let the thought pass bringing a smile back to his face instead. "I can think of a few things but they are extremely unlikely to happen." He teased.

"Like?" Astoria asked, looking up at him, and hoping that there was something; she didn't like feeling like he was perfect for her, it made her uneasy because she knew how easy it would be for him to break her heart.
