"You think?" Elle asked shifting so that she was propped up on her elbows looking down at Caleb. "What could I do? Flash people a distracting smile while you do all the real work?" She smiled at the thought of it.

"Yep. But don't be too distracting or I won't get anything done" Caleb pointed out.

"I'll try not to." Really Elle didn't think it would be that difficult, hypothetically speaking or not.

"It's going to be difficult, but if you're at least trying it shouldn't be so bad" Caleb smiled.

"That's a relief. I wouldn't want to be too much of a problem." Elle returned the smile.

"You? Never!" Cal grinned.

"I wouldn't be too sure. Some say I'm terrible to be around, a real pain even." Elle nodded for emphasis.

"How is that possible?" Caleb asked, frowning, "You seem really bubbly to me, friendly..."

"Not everyone likes bubbly, friendly people." Elle pointed out. Her sunny disposition could get on some people's nerves, it was bound to happy because no one could be liked by everyone.

"Not everybody is sensible" Caleb pointed out.

"That's true." Elle giggled. She had never understood pessimists.

Caleb smiled, considering his next move. He was laying next to a pretty girl, she seemed to like him enough...
Gathering all his boldness, he leaned on one hand and pushed himself up enough that he could lean in and kiss her cheek. "Anyone who doesn't like you can't be considered sensible."

He'd kissed her on the cheek and not a second later, they lit up with a violent blush. It was so cute. Elle bit into her lower lip sheepishly. "Thanks."

Still propped up on his hand, Caleb smiled, using his other hand to run his thumb over the blushing part of her cheek. Enthused with the bravery that came from her thanks and her blush, he leaned in and kissed her again, though tentatively, on the lips. Was that appropriate? He wasn't sure, but it didn't matter, it was the best feeling he'd ever had.

When Caleb touched her cheeks Elle froze, she had a feeling that he was going to kiss her again and it had her reeling. What would it be like? Not that Elle hadn't been kissed before but she was sure that no two people kissed the same. His tender kiss had Elle leaning up to encourage him, pressing her lips harder against his.
