"Oh it does, does it? Well maybe I won't bother complimenting you, then!" George grinned, taking a sip of his butterbeer, which he had been drinking throughout the fireworks and therefore was nearly done.

"When you're this," Alicia gestured toward herself. "perfect, other people's opinions don't matter." She was, of course, joking. Especially since to be vain, Alicia would actually have to wear make up or do something special with her hair other than throwing it up into a haphazard ponytail, maybe fret over clothes more. She laughed at her ridiculousness a moment later.

"I-" Alicia had been about to protest but looking up at George and seeing that he was serious, or at least seemed to be, blushed instead. Blushed? Something was definitely wrong with her.

"Know," He finished for her, "And I know you know. Jeez, let a guy get one compliment in, would you?" George sighed, pretending to be put out. He couldn't see her blushing - it was too dark. He just assumed that was what she was going to say.

The blush died down a few seconds later but not before Alicia gently elbowed George in the ribs. "You hush."

His pout was the cutest thing ever. Laughing, Alicia stood on her tip toes to kiss George's cheek. "You may speak now." She offered teasingly.

He didn't need to talk for that, no. And he was glad he wasn't about to try, instead wrapping his arms around Alicia. He could definitely get used to this.

To accommodate her shorter height, Alicia wrapped her arms around George's neck, her Butterbeer bottle dangling from between her fingers, pulling them even closer together. She was rather fond of being with him in this sort of capacity, something that just a few weeks ago, she never would have thought.

Her move made George think. He wanted this to continue, but did he want to go snogging her on their first real date? He wanted to, but should he? Slowly, he pulled back, winking. "I'm a lady, you know. Can't give it all away at once."

It was too funny for Alicia to be irritated with him killing the mood. Besides George was probably right. With neither of them really knowing what to do they should take things slow. She laughed letting her arms drop. "Then I guess I'll just have to be a gentleman and respect that."
