Silence was fine but after a few moments of it a question popped into Piper's mind and thought that she would try her luck in asking it. "So what's so special about her?"

"She understands me" Draco answered. That was all it was, actually - there was nothing more than that, really, in any situation. That was all he needed.

Piper narrowed her gaze suspiciously. Pansy knew everything that there was to know about Draco, she was like a walking encyclopedia dedicated to him. "I see."

"But apparently this vixen of yours understands you enough to manipulate you into some complicated relationship where your willing to be with her but not completely because no one can know?" That seemed stupid to Piper but there was probably some element that she was missing. Maybe Draco would fill her in though if she played dumb long enough.

Piper shook her head. "Well she understands you a right sight better than I ever will then." Which Piper hadn't ever claimed to understand him in the first place but that was irrelevant, it was more about her tone, which tinged with sarcasm.

Draco knew she was being sarcastic, but he didn't care. It was true, Morag understood him - his motives, his actions, his thoughts. "You've never tried to understand me, Piper" He pointed out.
