'Oh really now?' Audrey asked with a smirk, wondering whether he was just feeding her lines or being genuine. Regardless she took his arm and allowed him to lead the way with no objection what-so-ever.

Blaise liked that they didn't need to talk; she was easy enough to be around without all of that pesky conversation. He really was fond of Audrey. If he believed in love, he would go so far as to say he loved her. But she just wasn't relationship material. She was perfect in every way but her blood, so it would never happen.

'If I get in trouble for not writing this essay I'm going to tell them that you kidnapped me, by the way' Audrey murmured quietly in a teasing tone, only joking around but basically letting him know she'd given up all hope of getting it finished.
