Chris pushed a loose curl back behind her ear and sent another silent spell at the stone block in front of her, watching in satisfaction as it cracked. Chris had discovered fairly early on in her Hogwarts career that this particular corridor wasn't frequented very often. She supposed because it led only to three more corridors before connecting with a staircase. It made it a perfect place to practice her silent blasting spell. Sending another two at the block in quick succession she watched it crumble before walking closer and inspecting it. Not bad, although Improvement was always possible. She mended it with a murmured charm and made her way back to where she had been standing. She paused suddenly, thinking she heard footsteps, but after a few seconds of silence, shrugged it off and continued with her task.
