Astoria was rather clever. She knew many things and generally had a response for most things that a person could throw her way. However, there were things that she didn't know; why the water was so calm, how the world kept turning, and most importantly, what to do that day. In answer to the last question, she wandered outside, plopping down near the lake with a book in hand, leaning against a rather strong looking tree.

the calming effect of one's surroundings was an odd thing to think about. if someone wanted to reflect on a days happenings, they wouldn't trod through the dungeons to the slytherin common room. or if someone wanted enjoy a nice view, they would find a calm pretty spot and claim it as theirs. and the young pucey son did just that, except it wasn't a nice view he wanted. no, adrian would rather prefer uninterrupted silence. though, walking up on an unfamiliar blonde figure would come between him and his plans. gazing through a glare and a clenched jaw, adrian sighed. "hi there" he said, trying to cover the awkward sound in his voice.

Astoria would have informed Adrian Pucey, who she knew only because her sister seemed to really like him, that he was welcome to sit quietly and that she wouldn't interrupt him, but she didn't know that was what he wanted. "Hello," she responded with a shy smile, tucking her hair back.
