Garrett smiled brightly at the pink haired girl. "Great! You can help cut up the tomatoes, they're a pain." He reached around Rose to grab himself a clove of garlic. "I'm pretty pumped, if you haven't noticed. Haven't had this in... geez." Garrett pursed his lips to the left of his face and bunched his eyebrows in thought, "Years. Yeah, it has to be years now. One can only go so long without their favorite food." He shook his head with baffled happiness.

Garrett was about to shake his head when he stopped himself. He didn't really want her to carry anything, he was the guy and should be able to hold a couple of vegetables and plants. But then again, he wasn't the type of guy that's all macho and trivial and say 'girls can't do this and that, only guys.' So he handed her the garlic and basil with a smile.
"I don't know," He answered the latter question, "Things kept getting in the way. Parents are sorta wrapped up in themselves. I mean, my dad is a wizard but he likes acting muggle with mum. So they're wrapped up in everyday life. I'm at Hogwarts most the time, and when I'm with them on breaks, we're off at some dinner party, compliments of one of mum's pilates friend. Or off traveling to America, or Switzerland, or anywhere really. Doesn't leave me much time to myself. Enough time to make this at least," He propped up his arm full of tomatoes.

He handed her the tiniest things, and Rose had to smile. Had she found another of these macho men to hang around with? She did love that. "Well, now that you've got resources, you should do it more often." She suggested, pleased with his sharing; she liked stories.

"You know I will!" Garrett, only recently finding this gold mine of vegetables, knew he would be visiting it quite frequently. With a free hand, he scratched at the back of his head carelessly, trying to come up with anything else they needed to make the bruschetta. He couldn't come up with anything else they needed to get here. The rest, hopefully, would be provided at the kitchens. "Well, I think we're done here, the rest is up to Hogwarts and its resources."
