Rose loved clothing. The problem was, she didn't love the wizarding robes that were on offer in the shops she could actually get to. Rose, therefore, had started designing and making her own clothes when she was about thirteen. Because of that, she was always hunting for new fabrics. When she found a stall in the marketplace that sold great textiles, therefore, she was ecstatic. She picked through it all, then lifted out a piece that had a floral pattern, with tiny little roses on. Turning to the person next to her, she grinned, "Isn't this perfect?"

One of her brothers birthday was coming up and Alicia was under that familiar crunch that she felt every year around this time. Buying for her eldest brother was easy because they were so similar she could just get something that she liked and knew that he would like it too. But when it came to the middle sibling, Alicia was always at a loss. He changed all the time still trying to find the him that was him. As she moved through the market stalls Alicia scarcely noticed the girl next to her until she spoke up. "Uh," Alicia stalled looking over the fabric that the girl wanted her opinion on. "It's... cute." It did seem like something cute but Alicia couldn't be sure. She wasn't a fashion expert by any means.

"Cute?" Rose asked, looking at the girl. She wasn't looking for cute; she was looking for amazing, fabulous, great. But cute? "Hm."

The girl didn't seem pleased with her response so Alicia ammended it. "Awesome? Is that what you're looking for?" Okay so she could appease her if she didn't know what was wanted.

"Honesty's best," Rose answered, frowning at the fabric. "I don't know, I thought it was nice."

Alicia couldn't argue with that. "Okay, honestly, I don't know the first thing about fashion." She would have thought that a dead give away from what she was wearing. It was simple and tom-boyish. A pair of jeans and a purple fitted tee with MC Hammer on it, not exactly runway material.

"Doesn't mean anything; Fashion isn't just couture - it's more of a way to express yourself, than anything." Rose supplied. She loved fashion; she loved it because she could do it her own way.

"And how were you wanting to express yourself with that fabric?" With this girl's logic, Alicia figured the only way she could really be any help was if she knew more of her intentions.

"I was thinking a dress - button up, just below the knees, pockets..." Rose mused, "Sleeveless but not strapless, square neckline, probably, maybe sweetheart."

Alicia did her best to imagine how the dress the girl described would look with that fabric, which wasn't all that hard, shockingly. She might not have been much for wearing dresses but even Alicia had to admit it would be a sharp looking dress. "That fabric would be perfect for something like that then." At least in her opinion, something that Alicia wasn't sure was worth much in this case.

Rose smiled, "Yeah, I think you're right" She said, regarding the fabric. "What are you looking for?"

For some reason Alicia felt proud that she could help with something she thought she was so useless with. "A birthday present for my ever changing older brother."

"May I suggest a hooker?" Rose asked, joking of course.

Alicia laughed. "You know..." She mused. "That might actually work." One thing was constant with her brother at least and that was the fact that he was a major horn dog. Only problem was she wasn't sure how to go about ordering one for him, were they listed in the phone book?

"I was joking, but if it works...." Rose grinned, shrugging.
