"World peace." Graham answered automatically, though sarcasm was clear in his tone. "I don't know, maybe have them build a temple for me like some kind of Greek God." He might not have been all that arrogant in reality but around some he had to keep up appearances.

Maia almost burst out laughing at the suggestion for world peace. Of course, it had been sarcasm - she'd been able to sense that - but the pictures his words sent racing through her mind were just so darn hilarious. "Oh, lovely," she answered, "And beautiful women tending to you? Giving you massages, feeding you grapes?" She grinned, amused by the idea.

Leaning back Graham folded his hands on top of his stomach. "It sounds pretty cushy to me. What's the point in ruling if you can't enjoy the luxuries in life?" The idea certainly appealed to him, but wouldn't it to everyone?

Maia smiled at his words, silently agreeing with them, of course, but deciding now to distract herself from the little fantasy. She could happily live in a little bubble of all her wildest dreams, for days, but where would that get her in reality? Absolutely nowhere. Maia couldn't have that. "For now, however, it seems I'm stuck here," she sighed, "At Hogwarts, with no throne or sword. And a five-paged History of Magic essay due tomorrow. Oh, and detention the day after..."

Graham chuckled. Reality could often bite. He had that same essay for History of Magic but it had already been completed. With the big stuff Graham always tried to get it done right away otherwise it never would be. "What did you get detention for?" He, surprisingly enough, didn't get detentions all that often.

"Trying to ruin Padma Patil's Draught of Peace cause it was... better than mine," Maia admitted, sourly. She couldn't help the fact that she was extremely competitive and hated losing almost more than anything. It often brought out the worst in her, but it wasn't something she was ashamed of. "I threw in another handful of porcupine quills when she wasn't looking."

As a Slytherin, Graham wasn't at all surprised or appalled by Maia. In fact he found it slightly amusing, cracking a small grin. "No one ever said being the best was an honest persons game." Most Slytherin did do whatever it took to get the upper hand, Graham was used to it and expected it from his fellow house mates. It wasn't like he'd never done it before.

Maia silently agreed with his words. Even winning was it's own unique art. It took skill, of course, but also a damn good imagination. "Detention isn't too awful, anyway," she sighed, "but I suppose you wouldn't really know. You're fairly good at staying out of trouble, aren't you? Or at least, better than I am anyway."

It was true that Graham stayed out of trouble. He had a particularly good knack for avoiding it in general and an even better talent for getting out of it. When it came to female prefects he could just sweet talk his way out of it and when it came to the guys he could usually intimidate them into letting him skate by, unless it was Draco or Blaise then he didn't have to do anything. "Its a gift."

Maia nodded, twirling a lock of hair in her fingers. "And I'm sure many are jealous," she said, before falling back onto the floor. She gazed up at her company, imagining herself as prefect. There was a reason she wasn't - she'd be the most corrupt prefect in all of Hogwarts. She'd let people she liked - which were not many, actually, now that she thought of it - get away with anything. Conversely, she'd give students she despised detentions for everything (breathing too loudly, for example, would be a great offense), although she didn't think she'd be able to get away with that for very long.

Graham shrugged. He wasn't much for trying to get people to envy him but he was well aware of the fact that it was inevitable. Everyone had something that someone was liable to be jealous about. Facts of life. "Probably." He admitted gazing down at Maia. "I know plenty of girls are jealous of you, though that is for more obvious reasons than being sneaky."

Maia liked the idea of girls - or anyone, really - being jealous of her, probably because she was so used to being the envious one. It made sense that a little change would be refreshing. It was a known fact, even to Maia herself, that she could never be satisfied with what she had. "Oh, are they now? How nice."

Graham smirked slightly amused with Maia. "No sense in playing coy with me darling." He knew better than to think that Maia was at all humble, but that suited her.

Maia found herself laughing at his words. "Forgive me. Let me start over," she chuckled, before clearing her throat and mocking aggression. "Jealous of me?! Well, they bloody well ought to be!" She let the act fall away, laughing at herself. "Better?"

"Much." Graham nodded his approval. Maia could definitely be a professional diva if she so chose.
