The dungeons weren't Kevin's favorite place but he did have a certain fondness for them. Most didn't hang around down there, disliking the damp, cool darkness. Which was precisely why Kevin was down there himself, for the solitude. As was his usual, he carried around the book that he was reading, Marlowe's The Tragicall History of the Life and Death of Doctor Faustus, nose in it as he walked before decided not to tempt the fate much longer and leaned against the wall instead.

The boy happened to choose to lean directly across the hall from Blaise's picking up women spot. "What are you reading, chum?" He asked from across the hall, eyebrows raised. After all, pickings were slim today, no women were walking around.

When Kevin glanced up from his reading he saw Blaise Zabini, who he only knew by reputation, speaking to him. If not for a particularly gossipy Ravenclaw that had heard from so-and-so who had over heard Malfoy and Pritchard laughing about it, he wouldn't have known that this boy had been using his name to get with Rose's friend Elle, which Kevin had yet had the chance to tell Rose about, though now things made more sense. "Doctor Faustus. A common theme in it is sin, but I have a feeling you know all about that, don't you Zabini?"

As the book lowered slightly, Blaise frowned. Kevin. "Envy, lust. I'm partial" He answered, calmly, despite the fact that he had a feeling his face was about to be spoiled.

"Including trickery to get those things." Kevin pointed out snapping his book shut. "Imagine my surprise when I learned of your latest trick."

"I haven't the slightest idea what you're referring to." Blaise informed, smirking because they both knew he was lying.

"Perhaps you should look in to some memory enhancing potions." Kevin suggested. "Her name is Elle."

Blaise let his smirk drop, as though pondering this. "Doesn't ring a bell." He lied.

Kevin really didn't like being lied to on top of everything else. Slowly he made his way across the corridor and stood in front of Blaise. "Are you sure about that?"

"I know an Eleanor, but no Elle" Blaise informed, trying to remain calm though he had a bad feeling about this.

"It's her nickname." Kevin glowered. Blaise was playing dumb with him. "Apparently she thinks your me because you told her so."

"I never claimed to be you" Blaise informed - never had he used a last name.

"No?" Kevin asked but didn't wait for an answer. "Then why would her best friend think that it was me based on Eleanor's description?"

"I used a generic name and picked a house - I never claimed to be you, mate." Blaise reiterated. He wasn't thinking of identity theft at the time.

"Remains the same." Kevin was irritated by the excuses. With little thought behind it, Kevin grabbed Blaise by the shirt collar lifting up slightly to tighten the fabric against his neck. "I think you should tell Eleanor the truth."
