Michael always enjoyed passing through the fifth floor. Why? Well, to be frank, he was really just rather fond of the Boris the Bewildered statue. He couldn't pin down exactly what it was that made him like it so much, but h thought it might have something to do with the strange, puzzled look on his face - it never failed to make Michael smile.
With arms crossed, he stood beside Boris now, watching various students pass by. Glancing over, he nudged the statue, playfully. "Sir!" he said, in a slightly hushed tone. "I should inform you that your gloves are on the wrong hands."

Ginny was walking down the Fifth floor corridor. She was had just finished a class and was headed to the Gryffindor Common room to get her books for the next one. She was passing by a statue when she heard some one say something to the statue. She walked right up behind the guy and said "I don't think that he can hear you."

Ginny Weasley. Michael knew that voice very well. "What are you talking about? Of course he can hear me," he joked, swiveling around to face the Gryffindor. "In fact, I find that comment you just made, Miss Weasley, to be very hurtful. Boris has been my friend since my fifth year, you know? I suggest you apologize to both of us." Despite his words, a smile was growing slowly over his face.

Ginny didn't realize it was Michael till he turned around. "Yes, because statues have ears that can actually hear." Ginny said to him in a sarcastic tone off voice, that she had picked up from her brothers over the years. "Well, no I didn't know, but now that I do I will gladly apologize. I am sorry Boris for thinking that you couldn't hear Michael. And I am sorry Michael for saying that Boris couldn't hear you. Is that better?" She questioned him with a small smile.

Michael grinned, nodding in approval. "That's much better, thanks Ginny," he said, "So what brings you to the fifth floor? You've been following me again, haven't you?" It was no secret that Michael had had a massive crush on the Weasley girl in his fifth year - although, he liked to think he had moved past all those feelings, he always became rather silly around her for some strange reason. If he were less confident, he might actually be embarrassed.

"Just on my way to my common room to change books for my next class." Ginny said answering his question. She knew that at one point he liked her but she was wondering if he still did. She wasn't going to ask him yet though. "How come you are here, besides talking to Boris?" She questioned him wondering the same thing about him.

"No other reason," Michael answered, "Just felt like I needed some company. But anyway, free period is over. I think I might have Potions next." Although discreet, he couldn't help but look her up and down - she did look rather lovely on the current day. Most days, actually. "Oh, how I love Professor Snape," he drawled, sarcastically.

Ginny saw him look her up and down, but she didn't let him know that she saw him. "Doesn't everyone." Ginny said with a laugh. She knew that Snape was probably one of the most hated teachers in this school.

"Might I have the pleasure of walking you to your common room?" Michael asked, after thinking his words over thoroughly. Having forgotten to bring his Potions textbook with him, he was headed up to his own common room anyway.

"Why, yes you can." Ginny said to him as she started walking towards the common room. She was happy that Michael wanted to walk her to her common room.

Michael's smile widened slightly - he didn't allow himself to show how pleased he was at her words much more than that. "Lovely," he said, moving in the direction of their common rooms, towards the staircases leading to the sixth floor. "It's been a while, hasn't it? Gotten into any mischief lately?"

Ginny had to think about that question for a few minutes, she hadn't gotten into much mischief lately, mostly because she hadn't hung out with the twins in a while. "I do believe that I haven't gotten into much mischief lately. Although that could change at any time. Who knows we could get into some right now." She said with a smirk, a plan to do something other than going to class already forming in her head.

Michael raised both eyebrows, smiling. "Indeed we could," he responded, "Any ideas?"

"I have a couple." Ginny said to him. She wasn't going to just tell him her ideas right away, he was going to have to work for them.

Michael wasn't usually one for stirring up trouble on purpose, but he was curious about Ginny's ideas. Mostly because her brothers were extremely creative when it came to mischief, and he wondered if some of that talent had rubbed off on her. "Well, I'd love to hear them."
