"Sedate? Right, just give me about ten minutes or so," Michael said, jokingly, flashing her another smile. He couldn't remember a time before now that he and Claremont had actually exchanged more than a few words with each other. Strange, he thought. He hadn't expected them to get along so well. He nodded at her words. "Yes," he answered. "We do have a lot in common. Sort of. The books thing, mostly." Thinking of his family, a quiet laugh escaped him. He looked over at Chris. "What about your family?"

Chris smiled but it was tight and the amused look in her eyes dulled a little. "My Family? Oh, we have a couple things in common" More like one thing, shared DNA. That was it. "Mostly my cousin I suppose, my parents aren't around much." It wasn't a lie. Chris made sure that her parents were around her as little as possible. Removing another book from the shelves in an attempt to change the subject, Chris grinned at the title and showed it to him "I can't believe they actually have her stuff in stock. I don't suppose you've read Fifi Lafolle?"

Michael nodded, feeling for some reason as though he'd touched on a rather heavy, sensitive topic. He allowed her to change the subject, not wanting at all to make her feel uncomfortable, though he couldn't help the curiosity that nudged at him. Ignoring the nudge, he grinned at the mention of the author, Lafolle. "Oh Merlin, no," he laughed. "Though perhaps I should, for a laugh. Have you read it, by any chance?"

Chris widened her eyes "You wound me Mr.Corner. Do you really have such a poor opinion of my literary taste?" She asked sarcastically, her mouth quirked up at one corner in amusement. Grinning she dropped the dramatics "If you swear to secrecy I will admit that I have read one. Amusing, in how terrible it was, but not enough to make me seek another one out"

Michael returned the sarcasm. "Yes, I'm afraid I do," he began, holding back laughter. "In fact, I'd bet a couple of galleons on Beatrix Bloxam being your favourite author."

Chris could not contain her laughter. "I'm afraid you'd lose your galleons" She informed him " Beatrix Bloxam is my second favorite" She joked, eyes sparkling "My favorite author is actually William Shakespeare. Slightly cliche I know."

"Oh, damn!" Michael joked, mocking frustration."I was so sure I was right about that one." At the mention of Shakespeare, however, he nodded once in approval. "Maybe a little cliche, but I don't blame you," he said, crossing his arms. "What are your favourites by him?"

Chris thought for a moment then smiled "I think it would be quicker to list the ones that aren't favorites" She said "Which would be 'Romeo and Juliet', 'King Lear' and 'The Taming of the Shrew'" She bit her lip slightly "I think perhaps that I like Much Ado about Nothing the best. Beatrice is quite witty. Definitely not a wallflower like Cordelia"

Michael hadn't read a lot of Shakespeare, but he'd read enough to know who exactly she was referring to. "Beatrice - of course," he mused, thinking back, and remembering what he could of the comedy. "She was definitely far more interesting than that other girl - Hero, I believe her name was. She was rather... bland." Something about girls that were far too "sweet" put him off. He didn't trust them. No one was ever that nice unless they had something to hide.

"Hero" Chris scoffed slightly "A most misleading name" She smiled "You're right, very bland. No spine either..." She paused wondering what Beatrice would do if she were in Chris's shoes "Tell them she didn't care what they did, she still wouldn't, I should think" She mused to herself, before realizing that she was thinking out loud "Sorry" She apologized "I tend to think out loud sometimes"

Michael raised an eyebrow, not quite so sure what she was on about. He smiled, though, when she spoke about thinking out loud. "It's okay, I only think you're a little crazy," he said, jokingly.

Chris grinned "As opposed to completely Insane? How kind" She leaned back against a bookcase and sighed " Well...I suppose Insanity isn't too awful. Mad, bad and dangerous to know and all that" She quoted Lady Caroline Lamb's description Of the Muggle poet, Lord Byron. "A few people are of the opinion that I belong in St.Mungo's" She told him with a shrug of her shoulders "Especially the ferre...I mean Malfoy" Giving a wry chuckle she pulled her hair back into a loose bun before continuing "I find wondering what other people would do in certain situations helps me decide...unfortunately it also means also mutter to myself fairly frequently"
